Position Nigeria as the next hub for global apparel/garment production. With Nigeria’s teeming population and unflattering unemployment statistics, AAMAN stands at the cusp of a huge
opportunity.
Make the apparel industry become an no active player in the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Foster the development of the apparel making and accessories sector in Nigeria. by encouraging established factories and big stitching units to unite under one umbrella.
Improve and sustain the apparel making and accessories sector in Nigeria and position us amongst world’s largest exporters.
Demonstrate and improve our capacity and capabilities to encourage, influence, and promote ‘Made in Nigeria’ apparels thereby preserving our scarce foreign reserves.
Interface with stakeholders in the sector and develop noteworthy programs.
Enhance, in the area of capacity building, its members in the furtherance of their business affluence and training.
Create a strong and reliable network amongst stakeholders. To also promote a good working relationships between stakeholders, government parastatals and corporate organizations.
Establish and facilitate networking and training relationships between members, smaller companies, and international companies.
Promote Nigerian apparel making and accessories industries as a West African production hub and tap into the body or idea represented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA) focus group discussion.
Stand as a different body, separate from the textile sector, to enable a strong representation of its members both in the private and government sectors, capable of promoting the apparel making and accessories industrial needs.
Be an objective body of influencers for the sector in order to be accorded overdue recognition in the development of the Nigerian economy by the government and also have access to every available opportunity presented by the government. And also act as a collective and unified voice for its members to address the needs and assist the government to understand the nature of support required or expected for the enhancement of the sector.
Make Nigeria’s apparel/garment manufacturing industry become the biggest employer of labor while rivaling crude oil in generating foreign reserves.
